We were founded in 1907 with our beautiful, tree-lined course designed by 5-times Open Champion James Braid.

The course measures 6,320 yards from the white tees and 5718 yards from the red tees with two par-5s, four par-3s and a par of 70 for men and 73 for ladies.  We have recently installed a £750,000 state-of-the-art irrigation system to keep our tees, greens, aprons and surrounds in fine condition.

We are a non-profit making members club, owned and run by the members for the benefit of the members and the local community.

Situated one mile north of the town, Colchester Golf Club's fast-running, well established fairways provide a wonderful test of golf. We have around 70 bunkers to catch out your wayward shots and, best of all, our subtly-contoured greens are acknowledged as some of the very best in the County. They run fast and slick all year round. You will love the challenge!
