The volunteers were out collecting many bags of fallen leaves from beside the 11th tee on Tuesday. Our thanks again for all the work they do. If you can spare a few hours on a Tuesday morning, please contact John Dornan.
Greens have been hand mown when conditions allowed - the 4th was looking fantastic earlier this week.
Work to drain wetter areas around the course is on-going. An example of this is the dew pond on the 2nd hole and the ditch on the 4th hole - this water is piped towards St Botolph's Brook where it can be pumped into the reservoir using our Abstraction licence.
Tee renovation work continues while the Purple course is in play. It was the 14th tee's turn on Wednesday.
The hawthorn bush near the 7th ditch has been cut down in order for the ditch to be piped and backfilled. This will enable an additional route to be created onto the 7th fairway further spreading wear during wet conditions.
General maintenance involving clearing ditch outlets, reviewing and altering traffic management routes as required plus leaf blowing and collection continue.
