Weekend Catering Hours
From Sunday 15th December, catering will revert back to being available from 8.00am at weekends.
Ready Golf
A reminder to play Ready Golf at all times. Do not wait for the person furthest from the green or hole to hit if someone else is ready to play first.
The accepted etiquette is to call through groups behind who are playing faster, no matter how many players are in the group or whether there are other groups in front.
Following Storm Darragh, the remaining fallen trees on the 2nd hole have been cut up and removed.
Conditions have enabled greens have to be hand cut. Temporary greens have also been mown.
The 15th green and collar have had the oxyshot machine applied in order to drain away the excess moisture beneath the surface.
The bridge on the 7th hole is now complete.

With Colchester Golf Club’s men relentlessly dodging storms Bert and Darragh over the recent weekends to play their winter leagues matches it was the ladies who on a cold, dull but clear day were able to take to the fairways and play a fourteen-hole Stableford,
Last year’s Ladies’ Captain, Gillian Whittle, casting aside her shackles of responsibility took advantage of the occasion and returned 27 points to win the day.
Missing out the Valley holes (holes three to six) her card showed she had a shaky start but her handicap pulled her through and steady golf from her 24 handicap saw her home.
Just one shot behind her at twenty-six points were Carla Holroyd (27) and Gilly Cullen (30). Division One saw Mandy Rix (10) take the honours with twenty-five points followed by Nesta James (20) scoring 23 points.
Whittle took top spot in Division Two followed by Fiona Rose (22) with 25 points.
Division Three saw Holroyd lead the way in with Cullen second. A good field of thirty-four ladies took part.
There are still spaces available to book for our Festive Fish & Chips on Friday 27th December - guests are welcome.
